Wines can be classified by their color, vintage and place of origin. According to the color, they can be broadly classified into: red, white, sparkling and rosy. Reisling wine is one crisp wine which has become a darling to the wine lovers across the world. It originated in Germany’s Rhein and Mosel river valleys. Prepare for summer, find the right sunscreen

Summer has arrived! And while having fun in the sun, we need to protect ourselves from its harmful ultraviolet rays. Applying sunscreen or sunblock on our body before venturing out in the sun, is a known fact. But how do we decide which sunscreen is right for us? Well, there are few factors, which should be considered before buying a sunscreen.


First, you should know whether you need a sunscreen or a sunblock. While sunscreen is a product with an SPF (Sun Protection Factor) lower than 15, sunblock has an SPF of at least 30 or more. People with lighter skin and sensitivity towards ultraviolet radiation, should use sunblock for prolonged exposure to sun.


After choosing between a sunscreen and a sunblock, the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) needs to be decided. Sunscreens are rated or classified by the strength of their SPF. The SPF numbers on the packaging, which refer to the product’s ability to deflect or block the sun’s rays, can range from 2 to 50 or more. Sunscreens with a higher SPF offer better protection against the Ultraviolet B (UVB) rays, which are responsible for the skin burns. For example, while an SPF of 2 protects you from 50% of UVB rays, SPF of 15 and 30 gives 93% and 97% protection from UVB rays respectively. Sunscreens with an SPF of more than 30 can provide a broad-spectrum coverage not only against the ultraviolet B (UVB) rays, but also against the ultraviolet A (UVA), responsible for skin aging and wrinkles.
Sunscreens should be applied once in the morning and reapplied after swimming or perspiring heavily. Water-resistant sunscreen holds on to the skin during swimming or sweating. However, waterproof sunscreen ceases to be effective after 80 minutes in the water, requiring a reapplication before this time.


Sunscreens come in various forms – lotions, ointments, gels, wax-sticks and sprays and should be applied 30 minutes before going out in the sun. To cover the exposed area of the body, most people will need 1oz of sunscreen. Do not forget your lips, because they get sun burnt too! You can apply sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher on your lips. Another alternative is to buy zinc oxide for your lips, ears and nose. But if you want to avoid the white patches of zinc oxide on your face, use Z-cote. It has zinc oxide but provides a transparent protection. People with sensitive skin should go for the fragrance free sunscreens without the chemical ingredient PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) in it. PABA can cause irritation, allergies and rashes. Remember to do a little test on your skin before applying it on your body. People prone to breakouts, should look for non-comedogenic sunscreens. These sunscreens do not block pores, thereby preventing breakouts.
Since the reflective power of the sun is great – 17% on sand and 80% on snow, sunscreen should be used throughout the year. Even on a cloudy day 80% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays pass through the clouds. According to Dermatologists, a broad-spectrum (UVA and UVB protection), waterproof sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or greater should be used throughout the year for all skin types, especially during peak hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will help protect against sunburn, premature aging, wrinkles and skin cancer. The much awaited second generation of iPad has been recently launched by Apple. It is sleeker and faster than its predecessor. It is 33% thinner (even thinner than Apple’s iPhone 4). Owing to its reduced thickness, it is almost 15% lighter than the original iPad, but by no means a single-handed device. You would probably want to lean it on something if you want to use it for longer duration.

Shipped with the new A5 dual core processor, it is comfortably faster than its predecessor and capable of handling larger and more demanding applications easily. Performance of graphics is faster and smoother that makes it a gamers paradise. The new operating system on board allows you to multitask; so now you can play your favorite game and chat on facebook at the same time. iPad 2 stays cool even while you extensively use its able resources. A battery life of almost ten hours means that you can now have fun with your tablet pc with lesser interruptions.

Although the screen is same as the iPad, the buttons surrounding it have changed. Apart from the home button, all other buttons are tucked neatly in the sides making it seem less cluttered than the iPad 1 while also giving a better view of the screen while surfing, gaming or reading books. It, now, has a magnetic cover that protects the screen as well as  cleans it. iPad 2 has no USB port despite all the rumors about it.

iPad 2 has two cameras allowing a user to make video calls on his new device. Recording videos is equally rewarding; the quality is good even in bad lighting. But iPad 2 is definitely not the ideal choice for taking pictures. Anyways, with a 9.7 inch screen, it is too cumbersome to serve as a regular camera. Even though the speakers of iPad 2 are new, they are not very impressive and Apple could have done better with them. After all they have a history in revolutionizing the music industry with the introduction of the iPod.
