Swimwear choices for summer

Women’s Beach Living Paisley Print V-neck Tankini Swimsuit Top Reviews

Summer is upon us and its time to hit the beach. The most important part is to choose your swimwear correctly, to know which swimwear would fit your body, which swimwear is hot and which is not. What are the latest trends on designer swimwear? Choose the right swimwear and hit the beach in style!

Choose your style:

  1. Cut-Away Swimwear/ Bikinis — This once-shocking style (born more than 30 years ago) mixes sex and sophistication. While the design of the bikini top can be triangle shaped, round or other design, the bottom can be a thong, a string or a skimpy cover up. In a bikini top, look for built-in push-up bras, underwire and sculpted cups for extra curves.
  2. Tankini — A variation of the bikini, this sporty style has a longer top that exposes only a small portion of your stomach area. You can buy the bottom and the top separately to mix and match. Finding swimwear that fits your body perfectly is easier with Tankinis.
  3. Bandini — A bikini with a bandeau (straight, strip like piece of fabric) top.
  4. Camikini — Same as the tankini except the top looks like a camisole.
  5. Maillot –This is a one-piece suit. This year maillots are cut out, one-shouldered and halter necked. Maillot is perfect for women with short legs or torso.
  6. Boy legs — A longer leg resembling really short shorts. This style tends to make the legs look shorter — but still a favorite silhouette. If you have a long body shape, you are made for this boy legs swimwear and for those cute, ruffled skirts and cover-ups.
  7. Vintage Inspired Swimwear — Especially inspired by the 1950s swimsuits — from the Jayne Masfields to the Marilyn Monroes. The playful, curvaceous, and elevated in sex appeal swimwear of 1950s has inspired the fashion of 2011. Find the vintage-inspired features in modern swimsuits — a high-waist here, a vintage print there — and the result is perfect to match with the spirit of present day.

Swimwear is available in many fabrics like cotton lycra, lycra, micro fiber, nylon spandex, and tricot. You can also get high performance chlorine resistant swimwear. For that sexy look, go for a combination of soft, sensual fabrics with sensual designs.

Select a Swimwear pattern that suits your personality–diagonal and vertical stripes, swirls, animal prints, geometrical patterns, polka dots — both big and small, plaids, European prints and bold floral prints.

Choose the color of your swimwear from classic black and whites, vibrant colors like red, pink, green, fuchsia, hues of blue, muted tones, browns, burgundies, fluorescent and neon colors are the hottest picks this season. Vibrant colors like pink, turquoise, orange look great with bright graphic print designs.

Create your own style through creative mix and match ideas – ruffles, smocking, big buckles, belts, embroidery, crochet, lacing, floral look, retro look, layers, sparkles, sashes, etc.

Accessorize your bikini with Sarongs, the most flattering way to cover up. Find them in sheer fabrics and pretty prints. Tie on the side or in front or around your chest or get into board shorts, a cute and sporty way to pull on extra bottom coverage or slip into a pair of beachwear flip-flops.

White wines

white wine

Wines can be classified by their color, vintage and place of origin. According to the color, they can be broadly classified into: red, white, sparkling and rosy. There are hundreds of varieties of wine across the world; delectable in their own ways. They range from dry to very sweet. A dry wine is one that is not sweet.

Let us go through some of the sumptuous white wines produced across the world.  Chablis is the wine produced in the Burgundy region of France made from the Chardonnay grape. It is particularly dry and fruity with refreshing acidity that gets mellowed with time. It is greenish yellow in color which changes to golden as the wine gets old. It gets spicier with age and is best served with sea-food.

Reisling wine is one crisp wine which has become a darling to the wine lovers across the world. It originated in Germany’s Rhein and Mosel river valleys. The Riesling wines are characterized by their floral aromas and fresh acidity. A perfect blend of acidity with sugar, they can vary from sweet to very dry depending upon the ripening stage of grapes. As these wines age, they tend to develop a distinctive aroma resembling petrol. Reisling is considered to be the most versatile wine as it can be paired with any type of food.

Sauvignon Blanc cannot be left out when we are talking about the dry white wines. It finds it origins in Loire valley of France. It is naturally high on acidity and offers citrus flavors. It is tangy, sharp and reviving. It has herbaceous qualities. Sauvignon Blanc is a very food friendly wine and goes well even with tomatoes, bell peppers, cilantro, raw garlic, smoked cheeses or other pungent flavors.

Sports bra

Sports Bra Reviews
Most women do not care to buy sports bra for their exercise regime and carry on with their regular bras while exercising. But sports bra is essential part of clothing when exercising just like the sports shoes. It prevents injury and promotes comfort. They also help in prevention of irreversible sagging of the breasts. These days wide variety is available under different brands. The one you choose must be a perfect fit for you. The breasts should fit properly in the cups. The fabric around the cups must be smooth; crumples indicate that the size might be too big for you. The wider straps are more comfortable. The stretch in the straps should be nominal to reduce unwanted movement. Adjustable straps must be preferred. The fabric should have wicking capacity to keep off all the chafing and irritation from the sweat.

Jockey is one brand that is very dependable for the inner wear. One of the best sports bras of Jockey is High Impact Wicking Cotton Bra. It provides high impact support. It has padded straps and cups for comfort and the fabric absorbs the sweat and keeps you absolutely dry. You do not have to worry for all the sweating while you exercise. It also has adjustable hooks that help the bra fit perfectly on you. Another very comfy pattern is High Impact Zipper Front Bra. It has a front zipper and moisture absorbing fabrication to keep you cool. The cups are again padded which enhances the comfort. Both of these bras are completely worth their price.

Another very comfortable bra is Cotton Jersey Reversible Sports Bra. As you can make out from its name, it is reversible and hence you get to have two bras at the price of one. It has the softness of the cotton and stretch of Lycra. It has racer back styling to aid running and jogging and is tag-free to eliminate irritation. The other fine patterns available in Jockey are: Medium Impact Moulded Cup Mesh Bra, Medium Impact Underwire Sports Bra and Medium Impact Wicking Seamless Bra.

The unofficial iPad 2 review

The much awaited second generation of iPad has been recently launched by Apple. It is sleeker and faster than its predecessor. It is 33% thinner (even thinner than Apple’s iPhone 4). Owing to its reduced thickness, it is almost 15% lighter than the original iPad, but by no means a single-handed device. You would probably want to lean it on something if you want to use it for longer duration.

Shipped with the new A5 dual core processor, it is comfortably faster than its predecessor and capable of handling larger and more demanding applications easily. Performance of graphics is faster and smoother that makes it a gamers paradise. The new operating system on board allows you to multitask; so now you can play your favorite game and chat on facebook at the same time. iPad 2 stays cool even while you extensively use its able resources. A battery life of almost ten hours means that you can now have fun with your tablet pc with lesser interruptions.

Although the screen is same as the iPad, the buttons surrounding it have changed. Apart from the home button, all other buttons are tucked neatly in the sides making it seem less cluttered than the iPad 1 while also giving a better view of the screen while surfing, gaming or reading books. It, now, has a magnetic cover that protects the screen as well as  cleans it. iPad 2 has no USB port despite all the rumors about it.

iPad 2 has two cameras allowing a user to make video calls on his new device. Recording videos is equally rewarding; the quality is good even in bad lighting. But iPad 2 is definitely not the ideal choice for taking pictures. Anyways, with a 9.7 inch screen, it is too cumbersome to serve as a regular camera. Even though the speakers of iPad 2 are new, they are not very impressive and Apple could have done better with them. After all they have a history in revolutionizing the music industry with the introduction of the iPod.

Gokarna: A Paradise in Seclusion

March 16th, 2011 | Posted by ankesh in Vacation - (0 Comments)

If you have been to Goa and found it to be too crowded and loud for you; if you are not too much of a party person and are looking for an idyllic weekend on the serene beaches, Gokarna is going to be a paradise for you. It is a small coastal town in Karnataka with ravishing beaches. It is an important place of pilgrimage for Hindus (sometimes called Kashi of the south) and is home to some very old temples like Mahabaleshwar temple. It is around 100 Kilometers to the south of Goa and is well connected by road as well as railways.

There are four splendid beaches in Gokarna for holidaying purposes: Om beach, Kudle beach, Half moon beach and Paradise beach. There is another beach called Gokarna beach near the temple area which mostly the pilgrims visit. If you are not very religious, you can skip the Gokarna beach and head towards the Kudle beach.

Kudle beach is the largest of the four beaches surrounded by the rocky hills. You can trek down the hills to reach the beach. The next beach in the line is Om beach which again is a pilgrim’s destination as it is shaped like the Hindu spiritual symbol Om (somewhat like the digit 3). You can trek from one to the other beach in Gokarna or take a boat ride. Kudle and Om beach are the more famous beaches in Gokarna. The other two are more secluded and smaller in size, a destination for the ones seeking peace and serenity.

But one thing that’s a given is all the beaches are worth a visit, each being beautiful in its own way. The water is clean and blue. The beaches are outlined by the lush green vegetation comprising coconut and palm trees. Some basic shacks are available to spend a night on all the beaches for very low rates and succulent food is served in the cafes. Do not miss the fresh sea food and vegetarian food cooked in the distinct flavours of the south Indian spices. You can make a bonfire on the beach at night and enjoy the cool balmy breeze sitting under the stars. Let your worries fade away while you enjoy the nature at its best in Gokarna!

Chicago police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed a bank using a threatening note written on the back of his own pay cheque.

Police say 40-year-old Thomas Infante walked into the bank and gave a staff member a note saying, “Be Quick…Give your cash or I’ll shoot”.

He got $400 (£270), but left behind half of his note as he fled.

Detectives found the rest of the slip – complete with his name and home address – outside the bank’s front doors.

Mr Infante was later arrested at his home in Cary, Illinois. If convicted of bank robbery, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
